Joining the Firm in 2023, Harrison Derner is a dedicated workers’ compensation litigation attorney committed to upholding rights of individuals and businesses alike. Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and raised in Florida, Harrison grew up with a strong appreciation for discipline, perseverance, and teamwork. As a three-year varsity starter on the Lake Mary High School’s football team, he attributes much of his early development to the values learned on the field – hard work, sacrifice, and loyalty.


Harrison earned his Bachelor of Science from Seminole State College before transition from the technology sector to the legal profession. Prior to law school, he worked for the Central Florida Expressway Authority as both a field technician and a control center operator, saving diligently to pursue his legal education. His longstanding interest in constitutional law began in high school and continued throughout his academic career, shaping his commitment to addressing legal questions involving individual and corporate rights.


After passing the Florida bar exam, Harrison joined the team of Znosko & Reas, P.A. as the newest associate attorney with the Firm. He has not only shown a motivation to demonstrate a willingness to work hard every day, but his idealism and integrity have helped him develop a reputation for professionalism. These traits are what earned him a position with the firm of Znosko and Reas and help exemplify the standards the clients at Z&R have grown to expect.


During law school, Harrison distinguished himself academically and competitively. He was invited to join Barry University School of Law’s moot court team in 2021, and went on to ear the “Best Overall Brief” award at the 2021 Burton D. Wechsler First Amendment Moot Court Competition. He also received the book award for achieved the highest grade in his Article II: Presidential Powers class.


After joining the Florida Bar, Harrison Joined Znosko & Reas, P.A. as an associate attorney. Known for his professionalism, integrity, and work ethic, he has earned a reputation of thoughtful advocacy and a commitment to delivering high-quality legal representation.
